Limpopo Providence, South Africa Sept. 2014

Our Big Bird we flew from JFK to Johannesburg.
15.5 hours -- South African Airlines

Every night we would eat out by the camp fire.
This is an African Style Fire Pit!
The food was absolutely amazing! My favorite was Gemsbok Steak and Gemsbok Stroganoff
This is Joshie Jones, the son of the owners.  He is 6 yrs old
and speaks English with a British Accent!
Joshie rides into Bela Bela for school each day, an hour each way!

Day 1 of the hunt.  Impala

I saw these Giraffe's at the Zuela Golf Course!
They were standing on the Air Strip and not about to move!
The planes had to fly up and over them!

Day 2 Hunt: The main big trophy: Gemsbok
Will is with Murry the Professional Hunter.
Murry is 24 yrs old and was an excellent guide and host!
He picked us up and later delivered us back at the airport in Johannesburg.

Day 3 Hunt: Nyala

 Day 4 Hunt: Wildebeest
Whart Hog with NCosine, Murry, & Louie
Trophies all salted down being prepared for mounts

This is how I spent my days while Will was hunting!
Reading while soaking in this fun tub!

This is the outdoor shower just outside our tent bungalow.
It was a fun place to shower after a warm day!
It is very dry in the surroundings.
They are just coming out of their winter into spring and the rains have not come yet.

This was our bedroom in the tent.  It was very unique and decorated very African!
We enjoyed it very much except when the wind blew and made the tent walls flap!

Here is a picture of the whole bungalow! Our porch, sleeping quarters, & bathroom with
outdoor shower!

This is a day time picture of where we would eat at night!
We had wonderful views of the Southern Hemisphere Constellations!

I loved the way this bathroom was decorated!
The picture of the Woman by the Airplane Propellers is titled:
"The Art of Travel"
The picture is also on the cover of a book I had just read called:
"The Aviators Wife" about Anne Morrow Lindberg

This is the other side of the bathroom!
I loved this Giraffe!
I was on a mission to find one and bring it home!

Here is the porch of the Lodge where I spent some of my time relaxing!

This is the view I enjoyed from the porch.  The circular inclosure to the left is the fire pit where we ate each night.
The water in the background is a big watering hole that all kinds of wild animals would wander to and drink.
I had binoculars and enjoyed watching the variety of African animals come for a drink!

This is inside the Lodge.
I loved the Hunter Green walls!

I spent a lot of time here reading and knitting!  It was nice and cool on a hot day!

Here is the other side of the spacious one room Lodge.
This sweet gal waited on my every need!
Breakfast was served here every morning after she called us with a rousing drum beat!

This is Ananda Jones, the owner of the Lodge and 2 of her 3 helpers plus Joshie!
I was the only one at the "Kifura Farm" so Ananda entertained me quite a bit!
She took me into Bela Bela for lunch one day and to the Zuela Golf Course for a massage @ the Spa.
She also drove me around their property in their Safari truck to see the wild animals.
These lady helpers cleaned our tent, cooked our meals, and did our laundry every day!
I have never had such a vacation!!!
