Another Birthday--A New Year Ahead!

We have celebrated all Weekend with Will's Bday on Fri. & mine on Sun.
Matt & his friend Daniel from Rio joined us for "Chicken Cordon Bleu"
and Lemon Birthday Cake!
Matt met Daniel on his mission. Daniel is touring the US and reconnecting with friends from Florida to California! We met him when we were picking up Matt in Rio. He entertained us with his guitar music.
To top off our Birthdays, we went to the "Love" show @ the Mirage featuring the "Beatles" music. It was a great show. It is nice to share our Birthdays!

Centennial's Battle of the Sexes

Centennial HS had a fun Assembly: Boys against the Girls! Mike competed as a cheerleader against the girls! Here they are showing their strength!
Mike is the 5th from the right. ( I am not sure what they are doing!)
Mike is just to the right of the balloon doing something amazing!

Hawaii

We drove around the east side of Oahu the first day and enjoyed all the beautiful sights
We ate breakfast twice @ the Moana Surf Rider Hotel. We ate here 20 years ago and it is still my favorite place in Waikiki. This is the most amazing Banyan Tree in the middle of the court yard.
Jeff was staying right across the street from the Moana Surf Rider Hotel, so he joined us for breakfast the second morning. We thought we had died and gone to heaven!
This was our view in Maui as we waited 6 hrs for the tsunami watch to get over. We met a lot of friendly neighbors who offered their homes to help us out! What a crazy experience! I never want to go through that again!
Will had been deep sea fishing that morning and met us @ the PPC for the luau. It was fun to spend time with Jeff. He is such a kind hearted and gentle person!

Hawaii

At the PPC Luau with Jeff and the whole BYU Volleyball Team. We got in for 1/2 price because Futi's Uncle worked there! Great food & entertainment. We all received these beautiful Orchid Lei's.

We enjoyed this beautiful beach on the north shore of Maui. We swam @ our own rick because of the tsunami watch.

The beach was technically closed because the water and sewer had been shut off in anticipation of the tsunami from Chili.
Sunday we drove from sea level to the top of a Volcanic Crater over 10,000 feet. It rained that day (the first time in 3 months) so we didn't get to see the view. But, it was a pleasant drive and quite refreshing with the rain! The post cards showed that it was a beautiful place!
